ON FARM ABATTOIR

We are excited to share that we have received a license to construct an on-farm abattoir. As small farmers, this is an expensive endeavor, but we believe it will help us provide our customers with a more consistent supply of our Wagyu beef. Additionally, it will enhance the tenderness and flavour of our beef, as our cattle will not have to undergo the stressful journey of being trucked for over 2 hours to the nearest abattoir. Our cattle will be 100% relaxed as they will not have to leave our farm.

We are currently navigating the necessary regulations and working on preliminary costings to ensure the success of this project. It’s the only link in the supply chain we don’t have control over, and this will allow us to manage the entire process from paddock to plate.

Our farm is regenerative, and our beef will be beyond organic, ensuring the highest quality and freshest beef for our customers. Belvedere Valley’s on-farm processing trailer will redefine the paddock-to-plate experience.
